Wheel alignment is basically adjusting the wheels so that they are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground. This increases the life of the Tyres and makes a journey safe because if wheels are not aligned then the Car will move in left or right directions which can lead to some major accidents.
Wheel aligning is a process in which caster, camber and toe of the Cars are adjusted. Famous type of wheel alignment is 04 wheel alignment. Caster determines the tilt of the steering. The camber determines the tilt of wheels. The toe determines that how much front wheels are inward
It is always recommended to have alignment from a specialized mechanic. The procedure of doing the right wheel alignment I as follows:
1. Front wheels must be raised with the help of a Jack.
2. Look one wheel at a time. In that looking try to rectify which side wheel is pointing. If it is pointing towards the centre of the Car then the outer Tyre rod needs to be tightened but if it is pointing outward then the rod needs to be loosened.
3. To tight the rods first of all loosen the nuts which connect the inner and outer rod.
4. After doing all adjustments again look at the wheel from front end to check that is it still tilting in the wrong direction or not. After completion of this process with the 01 wheel try the same process for the remaining wheels.
